I was perusing thru a collection last week and came across a rather detailed label on a Cypraea aequinoctalis that gave the locality of fore-said shell as the Azores.
Any takers as to whether this is fact or fiction? _________________ Cribraria Kid |

[/ Quote]
Hi!
Data are completely incorrected!
Aequinoctialis comes from Pacific coasts of America!

Hi CK,
All the info I've ever read about the species has it being found around Panama.
Azores, Portugal is a long way from that region. It's within a cluster of islands offshore from Morocco in the North Atlantic Ocean. |
