In my life I have handled thousands and thousands of Cowries. I agree with rlutan: though "common", it is extremely difficult to find true gems of Cypraea stercoraria and Cypraea mauritiana.
I estimate that more than 90% is badly flawed.
Another difficult shell...try to find a flawless specimen of Cypraea carneola!
Fortunately these all are common species, so in the end you can add some nice specimens to your collection...
According to Cribraria Kid it is difficult to find true flawless Zoila friendii etc. I agree! Closer inspection often reveals damage at the channels, growthcracks, etc.etc.
